Today Monkey said...

Can you guess what it is??

It's a cheerio stuck to the side of the cake!

The cake was for my friend's son's first birthday. He loves monkeys ("you're not my monkey your tail is too fluffy!) and cheerios so I combined both in his design!

Birthday time

A little cupcake for my sister's birthday. Last year she got a pair of trainers cake, this year she received one cupcake, next year will it only be some cake crumbs??!
Happy Birthday Jue!

Ben said

A client's son is a big fan of Ben 10. I hadn't heard of this cartoon (being old and past it) so had to take a look and it's quite good! Her son's name is also Ben and he was going to be 3 so we created a Ben 3 cake instead

Winnie the Pooh said...

I finished this cake on Monday for a little boy's first birthday. The cake is made from vanilla madeira but the beehive is scuplted from polysterene (thanks Davey!). Decorated with bumblebees, marzipan pooh bear and sugarpaste frog - very colourful and a fab design (thanks to Cake du Soleil for the inspiration)

Anagram anyone?

The Bentley Cake...

This week I created a Bentley Cake for a client. The commission was for a 'wow factor' sized cake so the car was 16" long and extremely heavy!
Here's the car during decoration - looks like the wheels have been nicked!

Finally finished it after 4 days work and then nearly forgot to take any photos of it! Fool! Thankfully I did remember so here are a few - more on Flickr

The Wedding Show

I dropped off the dummy wedding cake at the Wedding Show at the NEC today - what a buzz!
The Wedding magazine stand was just a collection of tables and shelves when I arrived but I deposited the cake (and a million flyers!) then had a good look around! I saw wedding dresses and favours and models practising their strutting for the weekend.....
