Today we delivered a white chocolate wedding cake to Simpsons restaurant in Birmingham. My clients were getting married today and celebrating then staying at this fabulous restaurant - and it's only down the road from us, how lucky are we?....
The cake is a two tier vanilla sponge covered in white chocolate ganache then wrapped in a 'band' of white chocolate and decorated with red petals and fresh strawberries and raspberries
I love the shine of the chocolate on this one...
A picture of me with the cake and all the mess I created while adding the petals and fruit - I thought this task wouldn't take long but it did!

This weekend I created some cakes for my friend, Barbara (or Baz to those who knew her at university!) She was getting married to her partner David but the day was going to be a joint celebration with their daughter's Anna and Iris who were baptised just after the wedding service. I was commissioned to make the wedding cake plus a cake for each of the girls. The wedding cake was two tier (fruit and chocolate mud) and covered in ivory icing then piped with flowers and stems to replicate the pattern on the wedding dress.
Iris loves the colour blue so her desire was for a blue frog! So we agreed on a green cake with a yellow lily pad and flowers with a great blue frog perched in the middle!
